Who can live at Special Delivery?
You must be a woman over the age of 18 who does not have children currently living with you. You can come to Special Delivery at any time during your pregnancy as long as you have completed the interview process and made a choice to carry your pregnancy to term.

Do I have to live at Special Delivery to attend the weekly support groups?
No, You don’t have to live in the home and you are welcome to join the support groups at any time during or after your pregnancy.

How long can I live there?
You may stay at Special Delivery for up to two months following the birth of your baby. We cannot have children in the home past sixty days. Special Delivery will help you find alternate housing before the sixty days is up. If you place your child for adoption, you may stay up to six months following the adoption.

How much does it cost?
As an investment in your stay, we ask the women to contribute $150.00 per month or an equivalent amount of service to the organization toward the cost of their room and board.  No woman will be turned away due to a lack of financial resources to contribute to their room and board. 

What will I do during my stay?
We desire to see each woman obtain her goals throughout her stay at Special Delivery. When a woman moves in, we go over an individualized goal plan which includes daily tasks.  Goals could include money management, boundaries, counseling, newborn care, birth plans, etc.

Can I leave the program at anytime?
Special Delivery is not a lock down facility. Each woman must make a willing choice to live here and do what is in the best interest of her baby and her. If another housing opportunity arises for a woman and she chooses to leave Special Delivery, we bless her in that transition.

Can I work while living there?
Yes, we support a woman's desire to be responsible and make choices that will lead to self-sufficiency.

Can you help me make an adoption plan for my baby?
Yes, though we support either choice of parenting or adoption, we will walk alongside women choosing adoption through the entire process, whether they go to a local adoption agency or look at family profiles here at Special Delivery. Either way we will be here for these women.
We do not charge any fees for our services related to adoption.  Our goal is to meet the needs of a pregnant woman by assisting her in her wishes to adopt her child to a loving family.
