Support Groups We offer Christian-based support groups for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, single parents, women choosing adoption, and grandmothers. The support groups are held every Monday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Special Delivery home located in Woodinville, WA. There is no need to pre-register. You are welcome to show up and join us at anytime! Pregnant Group is designed specifically for the young women who are dealing with all the emotions since learning of their pregnancy. You will meet other young women who are pregnant and working through many of the same issues; such as dealing with parents, birth fathers, changing body, choices, etc. Single Parent Group is for single moms with children ages infant to seven years old. Some of the things discussed are: birth fathers, parenting, dating, as well as the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of single moms. Adoption Group is for pre and post adoptive women. In order to protect these women’s hearts during the grieving process from their adoption, they meet separately from the other groups. This group helps women through the practical and emotional challenges of open adoption and walks through the stages of grief in a safe and supportive environment. M.O.M’s Group is for Moms of Moms who may not be ready to be a grandmother and are overwhelmed and heartbroken over the reality of their daughter’s (or son’s) choices. This is a safe and confidential group for these women to find encouragement. |

Advocates What is an Advocate? An Advocate is another word for mentor. When a pregnant woman first comes to the Special Delivery support group or residential program, she is assigned an Advocate. The Advocate is a woman who offers friendship and encouragement as well as practical, emotional, and spiritual support for the duration of the young woman’s pregnancy. The Advocate comes to the support groups on Monday nights as well as meets with the young woman throughout the week. The Advocate is re-assigned once the woman’s baby is 2-4 weeks old. |
